Saodat Ismailova born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1981. She studied filmmaking at the Tashkent State Institute of Arts before working at the Fabrica research centre in Treviso, Italy, where she directed ARAL, FISHING IN AN INVISIBLE SEA (2004). Following a series of video installations, CHILLA is her first feature-length Film.
