Movie from Kyrgyzstan "Running to the Sky" directed by Mirlan Abdykalykov won the International Critics Prize at the 24th Busan international Film Festival (Korea, November 3-12, 2019). From Ufa with Love!
From 24-27 August 2019 the IV International Film Festival Silver Akbuzat took place in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan. Akbuzat is a mythological, winded horse from the Bashkir epos and from fairy tales. For the first time it was described in the epos Akbuzat. The winged, heavenly horse is a symbol of goodness and justice, of true obedience to the powerful warriors, the batyrs, who fight for general happiness.

 Today in Kinokultura: Review about dilogy 'Finding Mother'
When 'Finding Mother 2' premiered in Bishkek in February 2019 and the film crew stepped onto the stage, it consisted only of young people. The course of time is relentless, and high-grade film crews in Kyrgyzstan are already formed of the generation born in the late 1980s and early 1990s. There is practically only one older (episodic) role in the film, which is performed by the national actress of the Kyrgyz Republic, Djamilia Sydykbaeva. She plays a close relative of the new heroes, Murat and Aliya, brother and sister who were orphaned in their early childhood. If the bulk of the first film of the dilogy 'Finding Mother' was shot in California (US), then the majority of the second film is shot in the Turkish city of Antalya.
