Reception of applications for Kazan International Muslim Film Festival is still in progress
On February 1, submission for the XX Kazan International Muslim Film Festival started. The submission will last till June 1, 2024. The Selection Committee will finish its work by the beginning of July. After this, the official selection will be announced.
Team of the Forum for Young Cinema "Hope" for CIS countries: National competition for documentaries is ready
The Forum for Young Cinema "Hope" ("Umut") will be held 28-31 of the October 2016 in Bishkek. The Forum has support from The Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (IFESCCO).
It will be four competitons: 2 International - short fiction & short documentary and 2 National - short fiction & short documentary.

Also the movie will be shown at the 23rd of the Festival international des cinémas d'Asie / Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema which be held from 07.02 - to 14.02.2017.

XII Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema took place traditionally in the capital city of Tatarstan from 5th to 11th September. Two films from Kyrgyzstan was shown in Kazan: A Father's Will & Ata Beyit.

A movie from Kyrgyzstan - "A Father's Will" won the Golden Zenith for the Best First Fiction Feature Film at the 40th Montreal World Film Festival (25.08 - 05.09.2016).
The International Premiere of "Travelling with the Bomb" (Kyrgyzstan) will be in Busan
"Travelling with the Bomb" made by Nurlan Abdykadyrov will be shown at the program A Window of Asian Cinema at the 21st Busan International Film Festival, 6-15.10.2016.
