About film "Fall Breeze":

Synopsis.The main character Asanov, after the death of his wife, lives as a hermit on the seashore and leads a leisurely measured life of a lonely old man. Asanov's only passion is night swims at sea. And the old man is shy of his passion, he hides from people, swims only at night, as if ashamed of his strength. But one night there is an incredible event that turns the whole life of the old man. He saves the life of a girl who is trying to commit suicide. From that moment on, the measured life of an old man turns into a series of incredible events and psychological upheavals. Both for Asanov and for the woman he saved, life takes new colors and sounds with new notes - where Love becomes a symbol of spiritual purification.

About director Adil Merekenov:

 

Adil Merekenev is a Kazakh film director, film editor, and production designer.

 

He began his professional career in 2009 in the field of film and television production. He worked as an assistant production designer on the projects “Tamerlan” (2009) and “The Sky of My Childhood” (2011), and later as a production designer on the project “Cross Check” (2011).

 

Since 2010, he has been actively working in film editing and post-production. He participated in the creation of television series and films such as “Price of Freedom,” “Nagima,” “Special Investigation Department,” “Syrgaly,” “Village Guardian,” “Alarman,” “City Legends 3,” as well as the historical film epic “The Path of the Leader” (“Fire River,” “Iron Mountain”).

 

Since 2015, he has worked as a film editor on projects including “Amanat,” “If Only the Stars Align” (film and TV series), “Golden Throne,” “Kazakh Khanate – Season 2,” “Tears of the Great Steppe,” “Go,” “Chicken,” “Eleven,” and “Cranes.”

 

He is undergoing training under Russian film director Alexander Snezhkin.

 

Since 2021, he has worked on projects “Polygon” (post-production producer) and “Summer of ’41” (film editor).

 

Since 2024, he has been working as a film director. His works include “Autumn Breeze” (2024), “Psychologist” (2024), and “Dot” (2025).
