There is a moment, just before the sun rises, when everything seems possible. The Etruscans called that moment Thesan: the goddess of dawn, she who brings light and opens our eyes to the world.

Today, our festival is reborn under this name. We present the Thesan International Short Film Festival - Itinerant.

Why Thesan? Because cinema is, by definition, a new light that illuminates stories still shrouded in darkness. We have chosen to honor our roots and the region that hosts us, embracing a vision that looks far beyond borders.

Dear Production Companies,

I am writing on behalf of the organizers of the Thesan International Short Film Festival to officially invite you to submit your films (or productions you wish to recommend) to our 6th edition in 2026.

We are familiar with and appreciate your work within the independent film scene and believe that your catalogue could significantly enrich our selection. The festival will take place on 6 and 7 November 2026 in the splendid setting of the Lea Padovani Theatre in Montalto di Castro (VT).

Key information for registration:

• Call for entries opens: 8 May 2026
• Registration closes: 20 September 2026
• Maximum duration: 20 minutes
• Free registration
• Requirements: Italian subtitles are mandatory.

The festival is divided into several competitive sections, offering a platform for a variety of expressive forms:

• Open Theme
• Social Issues
• Environment
• Women in Film
• Animation
• Music Videos
• Schools Section (Secondary and Sixth Form)
