Young Uzbek female film-director Khusnora Rozmatova presented film "The Song Suskhotin".

 

Synopsis: In a distant village, a merciless drought reigns, because it has not rained for many months. The villagers perform various ancient rituals to get out of this scourge and misery. But the drought does not abate. People are suffering without knowing who tell about their pain. At such  a moment. Ahbor, a farmer official, goes to the village in search of a friend. Ahbor. who ran the society withhout leaving his office, encounters an unexpected case in the village: an underage girl has been raped. Her father, all the villagers and even the mullahs keep this egregious crime in secret. Usman, who wrote an artile about this injustice, is imprisoned as a slanderer. Ahbor tries to use his reputatian to save his friend Usman. But he has no power over the system he has created from the comfort of his office.
