Tashkent International Film Festival

Idea: For the second year, the French Embassy in Uzbekistan is joining forces with the Tashkent International Film Festival to bring out future fiction and series film projects.

The aim is to select a certain number of projects that can be presented at the co-production workshop dedicated to Central Asia, organized with the CNC, during the Cannes Film Festival 2024.

During the Tashkent International Film Festival, there will be two commissions: a script commission and a directing commission. Candidates will present their projects to an international jury. Those who are selected will benefit from support and follow-up with tutors. Several stages and meetings will allow some of them to be accompanied up to the co-production workshop which will take place during the Cannes Film Festival.

Eligible projects:

• Fiction feature films
• Animation
• Series projects for television and platforms
• Projects shot in Central Asia and aimed at the international market
• The project leader must have already made a feature film, fiction, animation or series.
• The project may or may not be accompanied by a producer.

Dates:

Submission of applications before September 22, 2023.

Online preparation of projects on September 25 and 26, 2023.

Pitch during the Tashkent International Film Festival on October 1, 2023.
