CALL FOR ENTRIES - shnit 2011
 
Deadline for entries: 1st July 2011
Date of the festival: 5th – 9th October 2011
Playgrounds: Bern, Cape Town, Cologne and Vienna
 
 
The ninth edition of the shnit International Shortfilmfestival is coming up soon. The thriving transnational film festival offers a unique opportunity for filmmakers to display their works in four major cities simultaneously.
 
The international competition shnit-OPEN welcomes short films of all kinds of genres, stories and styles. Cash prizes of CHF 48’000 (~ 39’000 € / ~ 56’000 US$) in total are awarded.
SMART JOE < 4 min. 7'000 CHF (~ 5'700 €  /~8’200 US$)
MAGIC JACK 4 – 10 min. 10'000 CHF (~ 8’200 € / ~11'700 US$)
LONG JOHN >10 min. 13'000 CHF (~ 10’600 € / ~15'200 US$)
National awards can be won in each city and the shnit AUDIENCE AWARD includes 5'000 CHF (~ 4’100 € / ~ 5'800 US$).
 
 
There are three ways of submitting the films:

Via reelport (There you have the possibility to upload your preview copy online.)
