One World Kyrgyzstan International Film Festival started the selection.
The Fifth International Documentary Human Rights Film Festival “Bir Duino Kyrgyzstan” (One World Kyrgyzstan, 20th - 25th of September, 2011) started of the selection committee
The management of the V. International documentary Film Festival on Human Rights (IFF) welcomes all of his friends, admirers, partners, comrades and participants! We are glad to announce the beginning of the selection process of the fifth IFF of human rights documentary films “Bir Duino”.
The deadline for applications is the 10th of June 2011.
Main themes of the 2011- festival:
· Rights of children
· Rights of women
· Corruption
· Right to know
· Ecological safety
· An attempt to analyze events that happened in 2010 in Kyrgyzstan
The program of the festival will consist of a few sections:
· International Competition- The host-country (Kyrgyzstan) expositions only one film in the International Competition, as a rule. In the end, there will be 10 films included into the international competition, which are produced in different countries
· National Competition- all the Kyrgyz documentary films of law aspect, produced in the years 2010 and 2011 are accepted. As a result, there will be 10 films included in the national competition.
· Extra competitional program- will consist of films not included in the main competitional programs but is of certain interest to the audience.
· Extra-competitional program for the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan ( October the 1st – 30th , 2011) will be made up of films, prizewinners of competitional programs.
The applicants should submit the following documents and material:
1. A DVD with the film
2. The passport of the film (Names and Surnames of the producers, timing, technical parameters of the film. Annotation, year of the production, studio)
3. Photos from the film
4. Film-director’s resume
