On February 1, submission for the XX Kazan International Muslim Film Festival started. The submission will last till June 1, 2024. The Selection Committee will finish its work by the beginning of July. After this, the official selection will be announced.

Türkân Şoray received a prize "For outstanding contributions to world cinema" at the Asian World Film Festival at Los-Angeles for her role Asiya in the film Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım (this film based on Chingiz Aitmatov novel). There were shown films based on Aitmatov's novels at this festival in Los-Angeles.
