Bolotbek Shamshiev is eminent Kyrgyz director, People's Artist of USSR, Laureate a lot of International Film Festivals.
He is one who was in head of Kyrgyz cinematography. His films regarding Chyngyz Aytmatov novels like «Shot at the Karash pass», «Scarlet poppies of Issyk-Kul», «White ship», «Early cranes», «Pitfall», «Climbing on Mount Fuji» are very popular all over the world.
