Istanbul: Kasiet Joldoshbekova won First prize!
3rd Mercy To Universe International Short Film Competition, organized by Al-Sira Foundation, begins on Monday 7th March 2016 with press release.
The purpose of the 3rd Mercy To Universe International Short Film Competition is about our prophet Mohamed(sas)’s reliable personality, his sacred mission that he fought through his life, precedent ethichs, and his simple life, to create awareness in the movie industry for making short film and to support the short film makers.
This project’s mission is; to help everyone who wants to deliver our prophet(sas)’s messages people by the cinema, which is one of the most important communication methods in our age.
In 2014, 50 films participated to competition which was the first organized in Turkey and The World and in total 15.000TL reward was distributed. In 2015, in total, 35.000TL reward was distributed at the competition which was participated by 103 films. The award ceremony reached millions of people through national and local tv channels. The award ceremony was tt in the social media for 6 hours. After the award ceremony, Mercy to Universe International Film Competition encouraged the other civil society organizations to organize similar projects.
The process of Mercy to Universe International Short Films Competition 2016 has begun. The short film competition, which has become international, will be announced and presented in many countries. Presentations(Turkih, English and Arabic) will be supported by website and social media accounts. All information about the competition may be obtained from the renovated website as of today. The goal of this year’s competition; 500 participated films from many countries. Productions will be accepted until 28th October 2016. Premiere and Award Ceremony will be held in 18th December 2016. There will be two stage for evalution of films. Type of fiction or animation films can apply to the competition. All the films in the competition shall be evaluated in the same category. Productions of maximum 20 minutes can participate to competition. Participants must print and fill in application form(wet signed) and send the form with the other materials to following address until 28th October 2016.
The slogan of this year : “Perfect Faith, Perfect Human” .All films will be analyzed and evaluated in this context.
This year, in total, 65.000TL reward will ve distributed in the competition which will accept productions from all countries with an international identity.
