Call for entries in The 9th International Independent Feature Film Festival

FILMFORUM Media Association - a Polish organization specializing in production of film events and Fundacja Edukacji i Sztuki Filmowej Macieja lesickiego i BogusЁawa Lindy (Foundation for education and cinema art) "LATERNA MAGICA" - who is the initiator and supporter of actions connected with film and media education of young people, proudly invites all independent filmmakers to enter The Jan Machulski - International Independent Feature Film Festival 2010 (IIFFF).

9. IIFFF is one of the major festivals of the independent cinema in Poland. Every year it provides an opportunity to present best feature films (animated as well) created in Poland and in other countries. Their authors have a unique opportunity to confront their creations with professional jury, other filmmakers and spontaneous audience.

The criterion of independence in case of IIFFF is treated relatively widely - the competition will see student shorts as well as professional full length feature films and entirely amateur productions will not be forgotten. There is no limitation as to the topics and convention of films presented . The only restriction is that the films have to be non-commercial and match the profile of the festival (fiction films).

The upcoming edition of the festival will be held in the Centralny Basen Artystyczny in Warsaw, Poland between November 17 and 21, 2010. The deadline for the films in DVD format, along with entry forms is 18 October 2010, they should be sent to the following address:

The festival covers the expenses of a stay of one person from the crew of each film qualified for the competition. Entry to all festival screenings is free of charge.
